Drone Policy

For safety reasons as well as concerns for individual privacy, Anse Chastanet Resort, prohibits the operation or use of drones on or over any of the 600 acre property. This prohibition includes the use of both recreational and commercial drones operated from or launched outside of resort property. Drone use may be allowed in limited circumstances with prior written authorization from the resort management.

Weather & Hurricane Policy

St. Lucia is sufficiently close to the equator that it does not have well-defined seasons. This means that the weather is warm and balmy all year round which makes it an excellent year round vacation destination. Afternoon rains are more common between June and November and these are usually a refreshing interlude. It would be very unusual to have constant rain showers for an entire day or several days at a time.

Helipad

ANSE CHASTANET owns and operates a private, fully licensed helipad, for the exclusive use of our resort guests. The helipad is located in the hills behind ANSE CHASTANET where we can operate it without any noise disturbance to our guests. The helicopter company operates during day light hours only. The helicopter transfers are approximately US 280 (UVF) and US 305 (GFLC) per person. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Contact us if you wish to book a helicopter transfer.

Helicopter transfers can only be booked directly with us, not through the helicopter company.

The helicopter company requires a minimum of 4 passengers booked on any given flight prior to sending final confirmation of the transfer to us. This final confirmation may only come through the day prior of your arrival day. As there is only one helicopter company there is good, steady demand and mostly, this final confirmation will come through. If you wish to have an immediate confirmation and guarantee, you would need to agree to purchase a total of 4 seats and will guarantee payment for these 4 seats in case no other passengers will have booked by the time of your arrival.  If you wish to book a private helicopter transfer, a payment of 6 seats is required. As there is a limited amount of helicopters, please know that mechanical issues or weather issues could always lead to last minute cancellation in which case the resort would automatically secure a land transfer for you.  There may also be last minute delays over which we will have no influence as they could be caused by a variety of reasons. Please also be aware that your luggage will be transported to and reach the resort separately. Your hand luggage can travel with you.  We thank you for your understanding.

The Resort helipad is private and helicopter reservations can only be made through the resort for resident guests only. Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain act as the booking agent only with the island’s only helicopter company. Certificates and licenses of the helicopter company can be found here. Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain acting as the booking agent, will reserve helicopter transfers and shall not be liable for death or injury to a person, or for any loss or damage to guest property. Click here for the full waiver.

Currency

Local Currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (EC$) but the US Dollar is widely accepted at a conversion of approximate 2.60 Ec Dollar for each US $.

Electricity

The resort operates on 240V @50 cycles, using British 3-pin outlets and plugs. Should a guest require a connection for 110V devices there is a transformer available to use within the room. Plug adaptors should only be used for “multi-Volt” or “auto volt” devices ranging from 110 – 240V. Plug adaptors and additional transformer, if required, are available through our front desk.

Our culinary team is always willing and able to meet special dietary requests, but please contact us prior to arrival to advise us so that the culinary team can prepare accordingly.
